Your Questions, My AnswerQ: How do I make sugar cookie taller?
-egg yolks will make dense cookies -using only the white of the egg will cause cookies to be taller, but it will also cause them to be drier. -always bring the egg to room temperature, as this adds volume to the cookie dough
Cookie Cutter FlipsHere are 3 cookie cutter flips I created.-bell to fireman helmet -upside down kitty head to a tooth -mason jar with flowers to an apple tree

Take me to Cookie Cutter Flips Galore! WeCookier's Latest Videos Football Theme InspirationLatest in Shop Gotta-havs!I've recently added a 15 pc paintbrush set to the shop. These brushes come in an array of types and sizes...though all are small brushes specifically for cookie decorating. Check them out!As always, let me know if you have any questions. Here's the link straight to them (tap on photo or link below): Business Sense: marketing yourself1. As we are nearing the holidays, I always feel like Halloween is the kick-off to them, it is a good idea to offer a sample box of what you will be offering for each holiday. You can do this for free or at a considerable discount. This will get customers in the mood and give them the opportunity to try your decorated sugar cookies before they spend a large amount. Utilize Instagram and/or Facebook community and groups.2. Have you ever boosted a post on Facebook? If you haven’t, it’s scary, isn’t it? I do not have a lot of experience in doing so. However, I have found it really does pay off for short-term results. It couldn’t be more easy to do. It’s hard to make any mistakes too. Set-up is very quick and simple. You get to choose how much you want to spend over a period of however many days. I would encourage you to try it if you have not.
3. It’s hard getting established for most cookiers. A fun and rewarding idea is to make a bunch of mini circle cookies. Royal ice them and put some sprinkles or your biz Initial/s on them. Let them dry thoroughly, attach them to a cookie card with your little menu and pricing printed on them. Place them in heat-sealed bags (I would add 2 cookies in each bag). Now, walk your downtown and give them to shop-owners or workers. This spreads your new business and they are sure to remember you!
Business Tips1. Before we get into the full swing of holidays. I encourage you to go ahead and plan out the cookie cutter shapes you will be using for each holiday. Next, start cutting out the cookies, baking, and freezing them. I never worry much about not selling out. I can almost always use them for flips…or gift-giving. The time saved in the end is well worth it!2. Usually by the time Thanksgiving rolls around, I will have my colors of royal icing made and in tubs in the freezer. This is a true time-saver! I hate mixing it all up, but love myself when I can just grab them when needed.
