There are different types of mounts. Not all may work for you. When searching for a mini projector mount, you need to contemplate what your needs are. For instance, do you need a space-savor? Do you have a price limit? Will there be children and/or pets around that could cause accidents? What kind of projector do you have? Will you be using it also for making cookie videos? There's a bunch of my videos on my airbrushing page?

-gooseneck mount
There are various brands of a gooseneck holders for a mini projector mount. I bought this one a few years ago. Do I like it? I do. You can bend it in any direction. There is no fear of it falling into my freshly decorated royal iced cookies. It’s super quality.
The only problem I have with it is its quite stiff. I’m used to it but it does take effort to bend it. Though, it will not move with a heavy camera on it. I like the fact it is affordable. With it’s extra-large rubber clamp, it will accommodate most any cookie projector too. Win!
-table mount
This table mount is the one I first purchased 5 years ago. Affordable, it gives plenty of room to work on cookies between it’s rotating legs. I like that the rod can be pulled out to make it taller or pushed in to make is shorter. It’s very light weight yet holds a projector without any problem.
Wide Compatibility: Equipped with 1/4" Screw and phone clamp, fit for webcam, pico projectors, miniature cameras, and cellphones. (Max W: about 0.7lb with the smallest angle)
-ceiling mount
A ceiling mini projector mount might work if it hung down low enough to the table you work on. I have seen some with long bars. I do not own one. For me, it wouldn’t work. I have a relatively small space and I am constantly rearranging my work room. Obviously, the ceiling mount would be more for a movie projector, correct me if I’m wrong.
-floor tripod
I have a floor tripod that was originally for a camera. I used it before I bought the desk mount. It did in a pinch by rigging it with Velcro to an expandable phone holder on a flexible arm. But the legs of it took up a lot of space on the floor. As mentioned, I have a pretty small area to decorate cookies. I felt scrunched using the tripod.
-Arkon mount
This brings us to the Arkon mount. Some cookiers wouldn’t live without it. This is what it looks like:
With most mini projector mounts, they easily double as a cell phone/camera holder. I have heard cookiers say that they weight of their cameras will force the arm to go down, as cameras are heavier. However, if you are using just the projector to draw or write on cookies with food color markers or piping tips, then it works lovely, they say.
Let’s consider some things about the different mounts.
1. Do you need all the space you can to work efficiently, or is space not an issue?
2. Cost. Are you needing to pinch pennies (like most of us right now)?
Speaking of cost in another context, learn how to price for decorated sugar cookies!
3. Do you need the projector portable and stationary?
4. How about the weight? Does the mount need to be strong enough that you can couple its use with a heavy camera?
Work through those questions to give you a better understanding of your needs and the kind of mini projector mount that would suit you.
Here are some pros and cons for the gooseneck and the table mount that I have.

I am excited to share this next tidbit with you. I have not tried this…YET. I want to. The Arkon in interesting. If it weren’t so expensive, I would have had it by now. However, I’m seriously thinking this would be perfect for me. Perhaps it would be for you as well.
If you already have a ball head mount, it’s one of the cheapest routes to go in total. Excellent video!
If you are familiar with WeCookiers, you know I rarely place a link on this site of a product I do not personally use. This is a rare instance. This is so you know the exact model the lady in the video is using. It comes in 3 different heights according to your needs.
I hope this helps to sort out exactly what you need in a mini projector mount. You can always rig something up with velcro strips too if you are not ready to order something. Creativity is the best 😊!
